MEET THE BOARD/STAFF

Gerald is a Marine Corp and Army Veteran.  He often states how instrumental the PVA and the VA were to his recovery.  Gerald loves to learn and is motivated by advocacy.  He lives in Iowa City.

Dan, a Navy veteran, engages with fellow veterans in the community to foster greater awareness of existing opportunities.

Mr. Keefe, a Navy veteran, has been a board member for many years. He diligently serves the Iowa PVA chapter. 

Mr. David Thiele served over 10 1/2 years with the Navy.  David joined PVA as a member in March 2024, served on the board 2025-2026, and has now stepped into the Treasurer position for 2026-2027.

Lonn is a Navy veteran having served in the Gulf War. He is passionate about helping veterans with SCI/D through his role as a Board Member and VAVS Representative. He is also an inventor and small business owner. 

Mr. DeLany, a former Marine, has served on the Iowa PVA Board for many years. He continues to contribute to the Chapter and serve Iowa PVA. 

Mr. Dorman is an Army Airborne Infantry veteran.  He joined the PVA in October 2025 and 1 year later has become a board member.  He is extremely active in the PVA sports and hunting programs.

David is a Navy veteran and has served the Iowa PVA for many years. He is also an official at the PVA National Wheelchair Games. He is also a Certified Boccia Ball Official.

Mr. Juarez is one of our newest board members. He is a Navy Veteran. He is passionate about sports and helping others with SCI/D. 

Mr. Wolfe served in the Air Force from 2003 to 2016 when he medically retired.  He became a member of the PVA in July 2025 and has consistently attended board meetings.   

​Bethany is a retired Army veteran of 23 years.  She is ready for this new form of service as our full time executive director.  She motivated for her future with PVA.

​Loree has been driven by a deep respect for military with a family full of service members in all generations.  She is honored and committed to help the PVA in all ways possible.
