We elect a board every October. The elected serve voluntarily, passionately, and dedicated because they believe in our cause and running the Iowa Chapter with honor. We are so grateful for their desire to serve in this capacity. THANK YOU!
MEET THE BOARD/STAFF
Scott Miller
Chapter President/ National Director/ Iowa PVA Representative to the Iowa Commission of Veteran's Affairs
Scott is an Army veteran. He loves hunting, fishing, cars, and everything outdoors! He is passionate about working with our veterans and advocating for real change, and helping veterans live their best lives!
Gerald Santos
Vice President/Advocacy Director
Gerald is a Marine Corp and Army veteran. He often states how instrumental the PVA and the VA were to his recovery. Gerald loves to learn and is motivated by advocacy. He lives in Iowa City.
Keith Harvey
Secretary/VAVS Representative
Mr. Harvey is an Air Force veteran and is very active on behalf of the Iowa Chapter. He has served on the board for many years. In addition, he is the VAVS representative with the Des Moines VA and is also an active Volunteer with the VA.
Dan Nichols
Treasurer
Dan, a Navy veteran, engages with fellow veterans in the community to foster greater awareness of existing opportunities.
Oscar Ballard
Board Member/VAVS Representative
Oscar is an Army veteran. He also served as a National Service Officer for the National Paralyzed Veterans of America. He has been with the PVA since 1994.
Lonn Cunningham
Board Member
VAVS Representative IA City VA
Lonn is a Navy veteran having served in the Gulf War. He is passionate about helping veterans with SCI/D through his role as a Board Member and VAVS Representative. He is also an inventor and small business owner.
James (Jim) DeLany
Board Member
Mr. DeLany, a Marine, has served on the Iowa PVA Board for many years. He continues to contribute to the Chapter and serve Iowa PVA.
David Graham
Board Member/ Sports Director
David is a Navy veteran and has served the Iowa PVA for many years. He is also an official at the PVA National Wheelchair Games. He is also a Certified Boccia Ball Official.
Robert (Bob) Juarez
Board Member
Mr. Juarez is one of our newest board members. He is a Navy Veteran. He is passionate about sports and helping others with SCI/D.
Dennis Keefe
Board Member
Mr. Keefe, a Navy veteran, has been a board member for many years. He diligently serves the Iowa PVA chapter.
David Thiele
Board Member
Mr. David Thiele is out newest board member. He served over 10 1/2 years with the Navy. David joined PVA as a member 3 years ago.
Bethany Gridley
Executive Director
Bethany is a retired Army veteran of 23 years. She is ready for this new form of service as our full time executive director. She motivated for her future with PVA.
Loree Herman
Office Manager
Loree has been driven by a deep respect for military with a family full of service members in all generations. She is honored and committed to help the PVA in all ways possible.
